Springboks set for French test
Loftus Versfeld, Kings Park and Ellis Park will be the venues for the first three-Test series against Les Bleus since 1967.
The Series kicks off with France's first visit to Pretoria since 1980 on Saturday, June 10 before heading to Durban a week later – home of the epic, rain drenched 1995 Word Cup semifinal clash that the Springboks claimed 19-15.
The Series wraps up in Johannesburg on Saturday, June 24 – a place the French will have fond memories of, as their last encounter in the city saw them walking away with a 32-23 victory in 2001.
The sides have met on 21 occasions on South African soil. The Boks hold the edge with 10 victories to France's six, while five Tests ended in a draw.
The Springboks have had a difficult 2016 with eight losses in 12 matches – their worst record for a full season since their return from isolation.
South Africa's November tour of Europe was a disaster with defeats against England (21-37), Wales (13-27) and Italy (18-20).
The two-time world champions suffered their heaviest home loss of all time in going down 15-57 to New Zealand in Durban in October, while the defeat by Italy in Florence was their first loss to the Azzurri.
France's November series saw them beat Samoa (52-8) before losing to Australia (23-25) and New Zealand (19-24).
