Bradley shifts weight onto Dax

Tue, 07 Oct 2008 15:26

Connacht coach Michael Bradley says it is vital his side turn all of their attention to Friday night's opening game of the European Challenge Cup, against Dax at the Stade Maurice Boyau.

Bradley said that the Magners League victory on Sunday over Leinster was a great boost but they would not be getting carried away with it.

"It's a good win and gives us something to build on. We worked hard and played sensible rugby when it was required and deserved the win.

"But we need to move on quickly as there is a short turnaround for the Dax match.

"We leave on Wednesday morning so it is vital that everyone is in the right frame of mind because this will be a tough test as they have chalked up some impressive results in the French Top 14,"said Bradley.

He said there was a great buzz in the aftermath of downing the defending Magners League champions.

"The crowd was super especially in the closing minutes when we were under massive pressure and trying to hang on to a one-point lead. I have no doubt they enjoyed the win every bit as much as we did.

"Hopefully, it will be more of the same when we take on London Irish on Friday week.

"But for now all of our attention must be on Dax on Friday," added Bradley.
