Jones: Borthwick the man for England

Saracens boss Eddie Jones says he believes Steve Borthwick is the “stand-out leader” in the English game and therefore fully expects him to be the man Martin Johnson looks to lead England in the upcoming November test series.
Borthwick was of course the captain during the ill-fated New Zealand tour recently but Jones remains convinced he is the man for the job.
The former Australian coach has recently taken over the reigns at Sarries and says that Borthwick has been "massively impressed" with Borthwick’s leadership at the club, especially given he only arrived in the summer.
Jones, who was technical assistant to Jake White during the Springboks triumphant World Cup campaign, even went so far to liken the 28-year-old to South African captain John Smit.
Speaking in an interview with the Daily Mirror Jones said: "I have been massively impressed with Steve. I look around the Premiership and, for me, he is a stand-out leader. He is one of three or four players Martin Johnson can build his team around.
"I personally expect England to reappoint him and I think it could lead to other captaincy honours."
