Paterson will be the first Scotsman to achieve this fantastic feat and only the sixth Northern Hemisphere player ever to rack up a century of appearances.
The prolific points scorer follows in the footsteps of some inspirational rugby union players who have achieved this milestone, including recording test caps holder George Gregan and Cardiff Blues and Wales legend Gareth Thomas.
