Ulster have confirmed that after an investigation by his surgeon, skipper Rory Best, has not sustained any new injury or further damage to his neck.
Best, who underwent surgery early last season for a chronic disc condition was forced to leave the pitch during Ulster's 27-26 victory over the Ospreys at Ravenhill, but the injury has been confirmed as soft tissue irritation.
Best will have ongoing treatment and assessment this week with a view to his availability for selection.
