Biarritz entertain Toulouse

Thu, 09 Sep 2010 23:44

It is the sixth round of France's Top 14 already, again with interesting matches.

At home the Basques must feel comfortable enough after their victory over log-leaders Stade Français on Sunday to take on Toulouse who have had a comparatively wobbly start to the new season. Biarritz must hoping that finally they have turned away from their recent mediocrity. But beware Clermont. The Auvergnats have class.

But it all starts on Friday night when resurgent Bayonne, the 'other Basques' who are currently top of the log, take on champions Clermont Auvergne who have, like Toulouse not had the best of seasons. That starts a weekend which ends in Biarritz.

Perpignan and Toulon have also disappointed but both, surely, should win this Saturday, both at home.

The match of the weekend could just be down at Montpellier when touch Castres move the short distance to Stade Yves du Manoir.
