Paice, Ward suspended

Thu, 27 Mar 2008 15:30

David Paice (London Irish) and Joe Ward (London Wasps) both received one-week suspensions at a Rugby Football Union (RFU) disciplinary hearing this week.

Paice and Ward were both cited for striking an opponent in the Guinness Premiership match between their respective sides at the Madejski Stadium on Sunday, March 16.

Wasps won the encounter 22-16.

They were suspended from March 26 to April 1, inclusive, and will be free to play again on April 2.

The case was heard by a panel that included Jeff Blackett (chairman), Peter Budge and Michael White.
