Ioane's season cut short

Mon, 12 May 2008 12:03

Reds wing Digby Ioane has been suspended for four matches after pleading guilty to a dangerous tackle on Crusaders centre Casey Laulala at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.

The incident occurred in the 65th minute of the Super 14 match and earned Ioane a yellow card at the time.

The decision means Ioane will miss Saturday's final round match against the Waratahs in Brisbane.

Brando Va'aulu is expected to replace Ioane.
