Carter still undecided about future

All Black flyhalf Dan Carter says he has not spoken to former All Blacks teammates Andrew Mehrtens, Anton Oliver or Tana Umaga who are now playing and coaching with Toulon.
And neither has he had the opportunity to look around the wealthy French club's facilities.
The All Blacks and Crusaders No.10 once again dodged questions about his playing future, stating he had not spoken to former Crusaders teammate Mehrtens or made a decision about whether he will re-sign with the New Zealand Rugby Union or head overseas.
"No, I haven't had a chance to talk to any of the players playing offshore," he told the The Press.
Reports from France that Toulon believes it will snare Carter's signature if it gains promotion to the Top 14 club competition also drew a blank.
"We are looking at all the options, even a couple of clubs or even if I even want to go in one direction and stay put," said Carter.
"There are all sorts of possibilities we are looking at," added the world's best flyhalf.
Mehrtens joined Toulon last year after a two-year stint with London club Harlequins, while Oliver moved to France following the World Cup. Umaga is the team's coach.
Carter is the hottest player in the international rugby market and wealthy Toulon president Mourad Boudjellal is reportedly prepared to shell out up to NZ$1.4 million for a six month contract.
However, Carter was not prepared to say which club, or if the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) was closest to winning his services.
"I don't think you rank them in any order," he said.
"Obviously there has been a lot of talk and comment about that. That's just one of those things. I know what is going on and so do my management team," he added.
Carter gave no hint of when he will make a decision.
On Monday, All Blacks coach Graham Henry indicated Carter will still be a part of his plans, even if he declares he is leaving New Zealand at the end of the season.
Unless a player was leaving immediately after the Super 14, Henry said he would be considered.
