S14 Round Eight Predictions

Wed, 02 Apr 2008 23:05

Super 14 at large

It is that time of the week again, when we venture out into the dangerous arena of Super 14 predictions. After last week's impressive performances by our resident 'experts', we are hoping for another big weekend!

Johan Greyling now has a clear three-point lead over second-placed John Granger, who still hold a comfortable lead over the chasing pack.

Just five points now separate Granger from third place - held jointly by Rudolf Mehl and Rob Peters (on 46 points). Phil Coetzer (45) and Steve Farrell (44) both still have a shot at the top.

However, for the rest it could become a long season.

We are now well into the second half of the season and nobody can afford any shockers. They may well run out of time to catch the leaders.

Closing the gap will remain a challenge as for the next four weeks two teams will have a bye - meaning there are only six games to score in!

What should the Bulls do to Bakkies Botha?
Let him go to France!
Keep him in Pretoria, are contracts not worth anything?
Nothing, he’s made a fool of himself already.
