Player ratings: Blindsided

The record books will show that the All Blacks outscored the Lelos by seven tries to one.

What the same record books won't reflect is just how awful the Kiwis were for large parts of the game.

Jan de Koning rates the New Zealand players!

15 Ben Smith:

Produced his usual batch of slicing runs and made plenty of metres.

7/10

14 Waisake Naholo:

Started off like a house on fire, then faded and fumbled his way through the game before being replaced.

5/10

13 Conrad Smith:

Quieter than usual, but still classy.

6/10

12 Sonny Bill Williams:

Producing offloads aren't everything – they are becoming a tad predictable and his impact was not as devastating as expected.

6/10

11 Julian Savea:

His hat-trick showed his finishing ability, but somehow you get a an underwhelming feeling about it all.

6/10

10 Daniel Carter:Player ratings: Blindsided

Not his best day at the office. Some really sloppy passing.

5/10

9 Aaron Smith:

Seemed full of energy, but his accuracy was well below the mark.

6/10

8 Kieran Read:

Made an unprecedented number of errors, although you can't fault his commitment.

6/10

7 Richie McCaw (captain):

He looked lethargic, almost tired and the battering his body took seemed to tell on him. Also suffered a worrying calf injury, but still a classy player.

7/10

6 Jerome Kaino:

Didn't seem to cope too well with the physical, almost brutal nature of the Georgians.

6/10

5 Samuel Whitelock:

Well below his usual high standards, with his workrate – or lack of it at times – somewhat alarming.

5/10

4 Brodie Retallick:

Without doubt his worst game in the All Black jersey.

4/10

3 Charlie Faumuina:

Stumbled from one scrum to the next and made a handful of  effective tackles.

5/10

2 Dane Coles:

One of the better forward on the field and his support play is probably his best asset.

7/10

1 Wyatt Crockett:

Note sure why he is so highly rated. Poor workrate, often gets folded in scrums (when he is not illegal) and a walking penalty.

4/10

Replacements:

16 Keven Mealamu (on for Coles, 71st min):

Not enough time to be rated.

17 Tony Woodcock (on for Crockett, 60th min):

Did not make a single tackle, did not carry the ball once. Only participated in scrums and line-outs.

3/10

18 Owen Franks (on for Faumuina, 60th min):

Another replacement that made mo impact, but at least he made a handful of tackles.

5/10

19 Victor Vito (on for Williams, 56th min, and then stayed on when Williams came back from his concussion test):

Not a bad job at playing on the wing by the loose forward. Made some mistakes, but that was to be expected.

6/10

20 Sam Cane (on got McCaw, 61st min):

Worked hard and gull of energy, but a high error rate and also conceded a couple of penalties.

5/10

21 Tawera Kerr-Barlow (on for A Smith, 70th min):

Not enough time to be rated.

22 TJ Perenara:

Not used.

23 Malakai Fekitoa (on for Naholo, 52nd min):

Not just the same player as last year. Still dangerous with ball in hand and in open space, but the rest of his game leaves far too much to be desired.

5/10
