Play-off selections...

Heyneke Meyer surely only has real big selection decisions for the flyhalf and hooker positions ahead of their quarterfinal date with either Wales or Australia.

The rest of the team he must have pencilled in already.

Let's predict his starting XV for the play-offs.

Willie le Roux, Bryan Habana and JP Petersen is the back three.

The Damian de Allende and Jesse Kriel-combo creates the unpredictability that the Boks so desperately need.

Fourie du Preez will play No.9, with Duane Vermeulen and Francois Louw in the loose trio.

Willem Alberts, when fit, will start and Schalk Burger will be on the bench – although AussieBoer will play Burger and have Pieter Steph-du Toit on the bench, ahead of Alberts.

Victor Matfield and Eben Etzebeth will be in the second row, with Lodewyk de Jager on the bench.

Unfortunately Jannie du Plessis and Tendai Mtawarira will be the props.

First debate will be the hooker – between Bismarck du Plessis, Adriaan Strauss and Schalk Brits.

Flyhalf is the biggest problem, as both attacking youngsters are not sharp shooters when aiming at goal just yet.

Both have not cemented their place and many Bok fans are in two minds.

Pollard and Lambie blow hot and cold in kicking to poles and this is where Morné Steyn, who don't offer much else, will be mentioned.

Pollard, when firing, is a Henry Honiball – while Lambie is more like Brett Barritt.

Morné Steyn will always be a Grant Fox and Neil Jenkins protégé.

AussieBoer will start with Pollard and have Lambie on bench.

Du Plessis is a must in tough games and will give Brits the bench seat.
