Player Ratings: Extinguished

The visitors started with plenty of impetus and looked up for the challenge but it seemed that the tough, lengthy tour finally took its toll as they succumbed to their hosts.

Wales were by no means poor or lacking in the intensity department, they were simply just outplayed, outsmarted and out-muscled by a better opponent on the day.

Tauriq Ebrahim rates the Welsh players!

15 Rhys Patchell

It was not as spectacular as his debut match but his performance, especially defensively, was admirable.

6/10

14 Liam Williams

One of a few Welsh players who put his body on the line as he forced into a very defensive role and made some try saving tackles.

7/10

13 Jonathan Davies

Was fairly quiet on attack but his defensive effort left much to be desired.

4/10

12 Jamie Roberts

Carried the ball strongly when he was called upon, which is to be expected when you consider his big frame.

6/10

11 Hallam Amos

A performance he would like to forgot quickly as he was exploited on defence.

3/10

10 Dan Biggar

May have missed a few crucial tackles but his tactical game was on show for the world to see.

7/10

9 Rhys Webb

Did what he could to push the tempo but there is not much you can do when you rarely have the chance to spark something.

6/10

8 Taulupe Faletau

Massive defensive effort, although he showed some neat skills in offloading during some big carries.

6/10

7 Sam Warburton (captain)

It was all about one thing for the captain – defence – as he made a nuisance of himself on the park.

7/10

6 Ross Moriarty

Tried to look busy and be everywhere but it came at a cost as he slipped a number of tackles.

5/10

5 Alun Wyn Jones

Defensively superb but had very little chance to stamp his authority on the game.

6/10

4 Luke Charteris

The veteran put in a real work horse performance but he just ran out of steam to keep up with the onslaught.

5/10

3 Tomas Francis

Will forever be known as the prop who went for a ride at scrum time.

3/10

2 Ken Owens

A performance that was not too spectacular but he can certainly hold his head high.

6/10

1 Rob Evans

Held on as much as he could at scrum time as it was not his best performance.

4/10

Replacements:

16 Scott Baldwin (on for Owens, 57th min)

Came on when the All Blacks were all over the Welsh and his presence did nothing to stop that.

4/10

17 Aaron Jarvis (on for Evans, 47th min)

Came on early in the second half to make a difference but failed to do so.

4/10

18 Samson Lee (on for Francis, 47th min)

He was meant to bring power and grunt but that never occurred.

4/10

19 Jake Ball (on for Charteris, 60th min)

Strong ball carrier who certainly made an impact in the time he had.

7/10

20 Ellis Jenkins (on for Warburton, 70th min)

Not enough time to be rated.

21 Gareth Davies (on for Webb, 55th min)

An elusive runner during his time on the park and his service was of a high standard.

7/10

22 Rhys Priestland (on for Biggar, 59th min)

Stopped in his tracks with each run, he could not get over the advantage line.

4/10

23 Scott Williams (blood replacement for L Williams, 31st min and on for Roberts, 54th min)

Defensively, he was up for the challenge but he also did what he could with the few chances he had to carry the ball.

5/10
