Schoolboy rugby in SA - talent galore!
SA Referees have appointed the referees for the last day of matches at the Academy Week in Vryheid to be played on Thursday, 24 June. Kosie Horn, the referee manager at National Weeks, reports.
Pieter Janse van Vuuren of the Free State Rugby Referees' Society will referee the final match at the Under-18 Academy Week between the Western Province and Boland at the Pionier High School in Vryheid on Thursday, 24 June at 16.30.
The top performers of the referees for the first two days at the tournament are (alphabetical order):
François de Bruin (Griquas)

Jan Venter (Blue Bulls)
The final rating of the referees will be done after the matches on Thursday.
It has been a well-organised tournament and the referees have enjoyed themselves. The weather has been good during the day but a bit cold in the mornings and late afternoons.
