Coaching Center Festival in Potch

Wed, 03 Sep 2008 18:41

The Leopards Rugby Union's Coaching Centers will end their rugby playing season with a Coaching Center Festival in Potchefstroom on Saturday. It is expected that 1 580 boys and girls will take part in the festival at Olën Park and Johan du Rand Stadium.

The Leopards have Coaching Centers in each of the government districts of North West Province, each aimed at introducing rugby at grassroots and developing it. The emphasis is on the rural communities and schools where rugby was not played before.

This is the second year that such a festival was held. In 2007 only 600 boys and girls took part.
