South African Under-18 coach Eric Sauls on Tuesday announced his team to play Namibia in an international friendly at the Outeniqua Park in George on Wednesday.

Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool (Affies) scrumhalf Lohan Jacobs will captain the team which includes fourteen changes to the starting lineup that comprehensively defeated France 39-3 in Wellington on Saturday. Gerno Eksteen, from Waterkloof Hoërskool was named the vice captain.

Grey College lock Carl Wegner, who represented the SA Schools team in Kimberley earlier this month, is the only player in the South African Under-18 High Performance squad that will earn a second start.

"All the players in the squad were told that for the first two matches, everyone would get a start," said SA Under-18 coach Eric Sauls.

"We want to see all the players in the camp get some game time in order for us to make a fair decision on who the best squad will be for the last international against France on Saturday," he added.

"We know what we have in the players who represented their country last Saturday, so this is a chance for the other players in the squad to stake their claim."
