Schools rugby kicks off in Northvaal

Rugby is a huge talking point at present with Super 14 and the Six Nations and the tour of the trophies around South Africa. Of course, boys want to play, and North of the Vaal they are playing.

Schools taking part are from all over the region - in the Far North, the far west, the far east, the East Rand and the West Rand.

On Day 1, Ben Vorster of Tzaneen played to a 32-32 draw against Standerton in Groblersdal) while Merensky High School of Tzaneen went down to the Lowveld and beat Rob Ferreira from White River 24-17.
