FNB Top 20 - 24 August

The great match of last weekend, Grey College vs Paul Roos, 1 versus 3, ended in a narrow win for Grey but lots of honour for Paul Roos who scored four tries to two.

Then in the Beeldtrofee Final, Monnas beat Waterkloof by a single point.

Those results conformed the status quo but lower down Rondebosch held Bishops to a draw at Bishops, Noord-Kaap had a big win, Oakdale just got home against Boland Landbou in their Interschools and Paarl Boys' High and Tygerberg won well.

Up in Tzaneen, Ben Vorster had a field day, winning three of the Big School Finals

We have continued our policy of trying to reward sides that are playing.

Others in the country that deserved a good hard look are Framesby, Nelspruit and Hentie Cilliers.

We have a few big matches this weekend and shall have a last weekly Top 20 before assessing the season as a whole.
