FNB Top 20 - 16 May

Not a lot of change
Several schools rested this weekend after a hard schedule. Some were involved in Craven Week trials. But there were some important matches involving top schools.
Monnas had another huge win.
In Port Elizabeth, where it was wet, a late penalty saved Grey's unbeaten record against Paul Roos.
In Bloemfontein Grey eventually pulled away from Paarl Boys' High for a win which may look more comfortable than it was.
Affies did well against College and Boland Landbou marched to Pretoria and won a close encounter with the Klofies.
In pouring rain in East London Selborne and Queen's played to a draw in a match which may have been more remarkable for finishing than for the result!
Some of the schools in the FNB Top 20 have hardly played other top schools. Tough as it may seem, we are probably going to have to take cognizance of this. Diamantveld and Rustenburg have played no schools in the FNB Top 20, Jim Fouché just one. It's tough to judge them on the same terms as, for example, Strand who have played HTS Middelburg, Daniël Pienaar, Paarl Boys' High and Paarl Gim.
