FNB Top 20 for 22 August

Tue, 22 Aug 2006 16:32

Paul Roos stay top

The season is drawing to a close but even in these dying embers there is the bright spark of great matches which have affected the FNB Top 20.

Paul Roos have confirmed their top spot with their victory over Grey College in Bloemfontein - not the easiest places to beat Grey who have now lost in successive weeks. You would go a long way back to find anything like that.

In Pretoria Affies rose to the occasion and beat Waterkloof in the final of the Beeld Trophy, which has caused those two to swap places.

Lower down we have moved Diamantveld up after their massive win in the Griquas' final and have brought Daniël Pienaar in at the tail.

We shall have one more week of FNB Top 20 before we revise the whole season.
