Northland star cited for stamping

Mon, 01 Sep 2008 08:50

Northland player Bronson Murray has been cited for allegedly stamping on Taranaki player Scott Waldrom in the Air New Zealand Cup match between Northland and Taranaki in New Plymouth last Friday, August 29.

Taranaki won the game 39-21.

Murray was cited by Citing Commissioner John Wootton for the incident in the 61st minute of the match.

The citing was reviewed by Citing Complaints Review Officer Roger Drummond on Monday, who decided it should go through to a hearing.

Murray will appear before Judicial Officer Bruce Squire at the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU) offices in Wellington on Wednesday, September 3.
