So'oialo has a Lion's heart

Tue, 07 Oct 2008 22:52

All Black No.8 Rodney So'oialo is set to end his post-Tri-Nations rest period when he turns out for Wellington Lions in their Air New Zealand Cup quarterfinal against Taranaki on Saturday.

The veteran back row forward was one of the many All Blacks rested in the weeks following the completion of the Tri-Nations.

In fact he was not due back until after the quarterfinals of the Air NZ Cup.

However, Lions assistant coach Andre Bell said circumstances have changed and So'oialo is in the frame to play against Taranaki on Saturday.

Bell also revealed that All Black Ma'a Nonu will start at inside centre, but All Black outside centre Conrad Smith will not play as he is still struggling with a leg injury.
