O'Sullivan lauds Baa-baa's defence

Sat, 01 Dec 2007 20:56

Barbarians coach Eddie O'Sullivan said he was as impressed by his side's defensive heroics in the final quarter as their mesmerising running skills before the interval. Matt Giteau, Martyn Williams and Rocky Elsom crossed for the invitational team in their 22-5 win over the Springboks, showing some dazzling skills in the process, before shutting up shop when South Africa pounded away at their line. "All credit to the boys," he said. "We talked in the week about the Barbarians ethos, but we played both types of the football on the day."
