Young to coach the Baa-Baas

Tue, 12 Feb 2008 22:35

Cardiff director of rugby David Young will coach the Barbarians' summer tour.

Former Wales skipper Young played six times for the Barbarians and was selected for three Lions tours before moving into coaching.

"In my playing days time spent with the Baa-Baas was always something to relish," he said.

"And from what I heard from Blues' players Martyn Williams and Tom Shanklin when they returned after playing for the Baa-Baas against the Springboks recently, nothing much has changed."

The Barbarians' schedule includes matches against an International Invitation XV in Brussels and England at Twickenham.

Final details of their three fixtures will be announced shortly.
