All Blacks get new logo for Lions series
NEWS: A new monogram for the All Blacks jersey was revealed on Monday ahead of the British and Irish Lions tour which starts this week.
New Zealand's kit sponsor tweeted a picture of the badge, which features the years 1904 and 2017 above and below the familiar silver fern with a shield-shaped border surrounding the design.
The first Test in New Zealand by a Great Britain side against the All Blacks was in 1904.
The full All Blacks jersey for the three-Test series is to be officially unveiled on Wednesday, the same day that the Lions arrive for their tour.
"It's always an honour to pull on the All Blacks jersey but an even greater honour to have a special edition jersey for what will be a pretty cool occasion for all of us," said All Blacks captain Kieran Read.
"I love the simplicity of the design and the nod to the past in the crest design.
"This Series will be adding to the legacy of our team, and that's something that is important not just to me, but everyone who has gone before us."
