Nontshinga - a Bull in Lions' den

Mon, 18 Aug 2008 09:05

The Blue Bulls have decided to loan former South African Under-21 wing Trompie Nontshinga to the Lions for the remainder of the Currie Cup season.

Due to the current form of players like World Cup-winning wing Akona Ndungane, John Mametsa and Rocco Jansen it was felt that it would be in the best interest of the player to loan him to the Lions.

Nontshinga represented the SA U21 team in 2004 and made his provincial debut for the Cheetahs in 2005. In 2006 he moved to Pretoria and has played in 23 matches for the Blue Bulls.

Bulls coach Frans Ludeke confirmed on Monday that there aren't any serious injuries in the Bulls' camp after the 42-12 win over Griquas last Friday and all the players will be eligible for the big North/South derby against the Western Province on Friday, August 29.

The Bulls will train on Monday and Tuesday, but because of their bye on the weekend they will have the rest of the week off.

He obviously knows the Bible well
He is just deflecting attention away from his lack of coaching knowledge
He should leaves his sermons for the dressing room
