Bulls have a chance in Final

The Blue Bulls know it will be a tall order to beat the Sharks in their own backyard, when the two sides meet in the Currie Cup Final next Saturday, October 25, in Durban.
However, the men from Pretoria are confident that they have a fighting chance of winning their 23rd Currie Cup competition. The Bulls, with a proud record of 22 victories in 29 appearances in finals, know what it takes to shine on the big stage.
In the immediate aftermath of the weekend's semifinals - in which the Sharks smashed the Lions 29-14 and the Bulls overpowered the Free State Cheetahs 31-19 - both the finalists said they can't wait for the big day.
Bulls captain Victor Matfield was obviously delighted with his team's performance against the Cheetahs.
"We're very happy to be in the Final," he said, adding: "It is a pity we can't play in front of our own crowd, but we'll go to Durban and we're in the Final.
"We do have a chance. We can't wait, it's just a pity it's two weeks away, but we can't wait to get there ... it is going to be a cracker of a game."
Fourie du Preez, one of the Bulls' start in the semifinal win over the Cheetahs, also spoke the trip to Durban.
"It was a real team performance," he said of the semifinal and then turned his attention to Durban: "We're just happy to be in the Final and we are looking forward to two weeks' time against the Sharks.
"It is going to be a tough game for all of us, because they're a great team and we'll have to go out there and do a good job."
Bulls coach Frans Ludeke said his team will "regroup" next week as they start to build towards the Final.
