This week's team of the week is overrun with Cheetahs and Sharks, while a couple of the giant-killers from the Pumas also earned our plaudits.
Fortress Newlands came under heavy siege from the Cheetahs on Friday, while the Sharks broke clear of the chasing pack at the top of the Currie Cup log, but the big story from the weekend was the Pumas historic victory against the Blue Bulls.
For their strong showings the Sharks and the Cheetahs each contribute five players to the team this week and two of the Pumas heroes rub shoulders with the big names in the starting XV.
Griquas, the Lions and WP have each have one player selected and there is no space for any of the Bulls as we see how the mighty have fallen.
There is an even spread in the Bubbling Under XV, where the Pumas (three), Sharks (three) and Cheetahs are once again well represented. The Bulls (three) do earn a reprieve with their best players from the match winning a Bubbling Under selection, with the Lions (two), Cheetahs (two) and WP (two) making up the numbers.
Four players return to the side from last week's panel - Griquas try-scoring ace Bjorn Basson make his return together with three of the table-topping Sharks; centre Stefan Terblanché, lock Steven Sykes and prop Tendai Mtawarira.
