The bonus-point win was enough to move the Leopards to eighth place on the standings, while the Kings remained in 14th place.

In the day's other game, Free State beat SWD Eagles 24-16 in George.

Leopards 54-14 EP Kings

The home side started like a house on fire when wing Jaco Hayward scored two tries in the opening five minutes.

After 17 minutes it was 21-0 after Rowayne Beukman scored his team's third try, before Mthetheleli Fuzani got a try back for the visitors.

However, Leopards fullback Gene Willemse scored a try before half-time to ensure that the home side had a good lead going into the break.

It was more of the same in the second half when the Leopards scored another four tries to completely outplay their opponents from Port Elizabeth.
