Western Province 25-14 Boland

The home side struck first after a tense opening 20 minutes with a try from Christopher Bosch which was converted by Nico Schaeepers to make it 7-0.

DHL Western Province responded with a penalty from flyhalf Robert du Preez, and he followed that up soon afterwards with a try to put them 8-7 up.

Another try on the stroke of half-time from hooker Chad Solomon meant that Western Province took a 15-7 lead into the break.

They extended that lead at the start of the second half with another penalty from the boot of Du Preez, but Boland hit back with a try from Danwell Demas which brought them right back into the game at 18-14 once converted by Scheepers.
