Adendorff played in Pretoria as a junior, before opting to join the BlitzBoks in Stellenbosch.

He has now successfully returned to the 15-a-side code.

Marutlulle was the starting hooker for the Southern Kings this year, having previously played for the Leopards, Golden Lions (Currie Cup) and Lions in Super Rugby.

His solid performances saw him gain selection into the SA A side that played the England Saxons in Bloemfontein and George in June this year.

"This is exciting times for the Blue Bulls," BBC High Performance Manager Xander Janse van Rensburg said.

"Shaun won the gold medal with the Junior Springboks, then made us proud playing for the BlitzBoks and is currently playing great rugby for Boland.

"We are so pleased to welcome him back in the Bulls at the end of the season."

Marutlulle (28) will join the fray at the beginning of next month.

"Edgar has been one of the stand-out hookers this year and I am very pleased that he will be joining us," Janse van Rensburg said.

"With Adriaan Strauss on Bok duty in the next couple of months, it was important for us to add to our depth with a high quality hooker and Edgar is exactly that.
