INJURY UPDATE: Despite a bruising 35-41 loss to the Griquas last Friday in the Currie Cup Premier Division, the Pumas have not been severely affected by new injuries.

The loss was the Pumas third in a row and they are currently in eighth position on the standings.

They are still without a win in this year's Currie Cup Premier Division.

Hennie Skorbinski picked up a hamstring strain and has been directed not to run until he has been cleared. While JP Lewis is also being evaluated for a hamstring strain.

Tighthead prop Louis Albertse suffered a knee contusion and has a small fluid cyst. He is not running or doing contact training while awaiting feedback from the doctor.

In terms of long-term injuries, fullback Justin van Staden will be out for three-four months with a fractured toe after he had surgery.

Reynier van Rooyen is still wearing a brace for his MCL tear and will have a follow up with the doctor on September 7. While Heinrich Steyl is being integrated back into training following his shoulder lesion and hamstring strain.

Stephan Greef is back to full training after his shoulder contusion.
