Nell blow for Boland

Nell sustained a fracture in the lower part of his leg last Friday, during Boland's 25-22 win over the Pumas at the Boland Stadium in Wellington. He will be out of action for at least two months.

Meanwhile, utility back Gerrit van Wyk will also be out for two weeks due to concussion.

Van Wyk who was on the receiving end of a dangerous elbow charge during the Pumas clash should be ready for Boland's next home match against the Blue Bulls on September 23.

A number of players will be assessed in terms of their fitness-levels on Monday.

Zandre Jordaan (loose forward, calf strain), Basil Short (prop, flu), Sergio Torrens (wing, quad strain) and Jovelian de Koker (scrumhalf, groin strain) should all be in contention for Thursday's match in Kimberley against Griquas.

Fullback Nico Scheepers is still in doubt, he is currently nursing an ankle strain and will be assessed on Monday.
