TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Prop Ruan Dreyer will start for the Golden Lions against Western Province after returning from a lengthy injury lay-off.

The 25-year-old has been out of action since April this year when he fractured his wrist in a Super Rugby match against the Southern Kings. He replaces Jacques van Rooyen.

He will pack down alongside Robbie Coetzee and Dylan Smith is what will be a strong front row for the Johannesburg team.

In other changes to the team that went down 17-31 to the Blue Bulls last weekend, Jean-Pierre du Preez will pack down at lock with Lourens Erasmus, while Ruan Ackermann moves to blindside flank with Fabian Booysen coming in at No.8.

In the backline, Jaco van der Walt replaces Marnitz Boshoff at flyhalf.

Rohan Janse van Rensburg moves to inside centre and Jacques Nell will partner him in midfield. Selom Gavor replaces the injured Courtnall Skosan on the wing.

Lock Andries Ferreira returns from injury and will take up a spot on the bench.
