NEWS: The Sharks have been rocked by late injury setbacks ahead of their crunch Currie Cup Premier Division clash against the Free State Cheetahs in Durban on Saturday.

Captain Keegan Daniel will be rested as he is suffering from an abdominal strain. His place in the starting line-up will be taken by Francois Kleinhans with Philip van der Walt taking over the captaincy.

The Sharks have also lost the services of Springbok lock Stephan Lewies for the match. Lewies is still struggling with a hamstring injury and he is replaced by Ruan Botha.

The match against the Cheetahs was due to be Lewies' first after a lengthy lay-off.

Jean Deysel's place on the bench is taken by Khaya Majola. Deysel is suffering from a hip flexor strain.

The good news for the Sharks is that the experienced scrumhalf Michael Claassens has been passed fit and will wear the No.20 jersey.

Sharks - revised: 15 Curwin Bosch, 14 Odwa Ndungane, 13 Lukhanyo Am, 12 Andre Esterhuizen, 11 Sibusiso Sithole, 10 Inny-Christian Radebe, 9 Stefan Ungerer, 8 Philip van der Walt (captain), 7 Jean-Luc du Preez, 6 Francois Kleinhans, 5 Ruan Botha, 4 Etienne Oosthuizen, 3 Thomas du Toit, 2 Franco Marais, 1 Juan Schoeman.
