TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: Golden Lions head coach Johan Ackermann has made five changes to his starting team for their crunch Currie Cup clash against the Sharks at Ellis Park on Friday.

In the front row, Robbie Coetzee will start in the hooker berth with Springbok Malcolm Marx warming the bench.

The other change up front sees Ruan Dreyer start in place of Julian Redelinghuys who has joined the Springboks.

In the backline, Ross Cronjé is back in the No.9 jersey, while Andries Coetzee takes over from Sylvian Mahuza at fullback. 

In the midfield, Rohan Janse van Rensburg gets a starting berth ahead of Howard Mnisi.

The Currie Cup Premier Division Round Nine clash is effectively a knockout match, with the winner advancing to the play-offs at the expense of the other.
