Bulls pay the price for congested schedule

INJURY UPDATE: The Blue Bulls were left with several injuries after playing three Currie Cup matches in eight days.

Travis Ismaiel suffered a knee injury in the 20-28 loss to the Sharks last week and will be out for four weeks.

Jaco Visagie re-injured his shoulder and will be out for two weeks.

Duncan Matthews and Jannes Kirsten both sustained injuries in the 34-45 loss to Western Province at the weekend.

Matthews injured his knee and although it does not appear serious, it is unlikely that he will be available for this weekend’s match against Free State in Pretoria this coming Saturday.

Kirsten sprained his ankle and like Matthews, will be unavailable this weekend.

In some positive news, Edgar Marutlulle and Johnny Kotze have both fully recovered from their respective injuries - while Ulrich Beyers will partake in selected sessions this week.
