TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT: SA 'A' flank Chris Cloete will start his first match for the Pumas when they travel to fortress Kimberley to face the high-riding Griquas in an all-important Currie Cup match.

Cloete has produced a couple of cameos from the bench and gets a deserved opportunity to play a bigger role in the starting XV.

Cloete replaces Francois Kleinhans in the No.6 jersey with the latter packing down at No.8, a move which gives the Pumas the luxury of two specialist fetchers.

Another former Kings player, Stefan Willemse gets a start at lock in place of Jeremy Jordaan, who is out with concussion.

The versatile Gerrit Smith, who had a blinder in the midfield against the Free State Cheetahs, is back at No.15 this week, replacing Devon Williams.

His selection at fullback necessitated a change in midfield where Jerome Pretorius will partner captain Hennie Skorbinski while Jean-Paul Lewis is drafted in on the right wing.

Pumas: 15 Gerrit Smith, 14 Jean-Paul Lewis, 13 Jerome Pretorius, 12 Hennie Skorbinski (captain), 11 Ruwellyn Isbell, 10 Justin van Staden, 9 Stefan Ungerer, 8 Francois Kleinhans, 7 Lambert Groenewald, 6 Chris Cloete, 5 Hugo Kloppers, 4 Stefan Willemse, 3 Pieter Scholtz, 2 Mark Pretorius, 1 Khwezi Mona.
Replacements: 16 Frank Herne, 17 De-Jay Terblanche, 18 Cameron Lindsay, 19 Thembelani Bholi, 20 Carel Greeff, 21 Reynier Van Rooyen, 22 Sias Ebersohn.
