Lions to unleash Boks on Cheetahs

SQUAD UPDATE: The Golden Lions confirmed that five of their Springboks have returned to training in Johannesburg to prepare for a crucial Currie Cup clash against the Free State Cheetahs at Ellis Park. 

Ross Cronjé, Courtnall Skosan, Andries Coetzee, Malcolm Marx and Ruan Dreyer are back with the rest of the Lions squad while Elton Jantjies and Francois Mostert joined their clubs in Japan.
 
Lions wing Ruan Combrinck underwent an operation on his left shoulder on Tuesday. 

He is expected to return to play in six months.
 
There are no other injury or illness concerns at present for coach Swys De Bruin.
 
The Cheetahs and Lions will be in a straight shoot-out for a play-off place.
