Bourgoin too good for Bucaresti

Bourgoin got their European Challenge Cup campaign off to a winning start with a 21-10 away victory over Bucaresti Oaks at the Arcul de Triumf stadium in Bucharest on Sunday.
Bourgoin led 10-3 at the break after having the better of their opponents in a tight first half. They opened the scoring with a try by prop Vincent Pelo, which was converted by flyhalf Benjamin Boyet. The number 10 extended the lead with a well-taken drop-goal in the 27th minute. Bucaresti fullback Florin Vlaicu narrowed the deficit with a penalty on the stroke of half-time.
Bucaresti levelled the scores within ten minutes of the restart after wing Catalin Fercu breached the defence for a try and Vlaicu added the extra two points.
Boyet kicked a second drop-goal in the 55th minute to restore the visitors'lead.
With ten minutes to play Bourgoin centre Matias Viazzo crossed for his team's second try to stretch the lead to eight points. Vlaicu missed the conversion.
Reserve flyhalf Morgan Parra had the final say for Bourgoin, kicking a penalty on full-time to seal a deserved win for the visitors.
