England's 2003 World Cup-winning loose forward Lawrence Dallaglio has been handed a one-week ban by a Rugby Football Union (RFU) disciplinary hearing, for striking an opponent in a recent match.
However, Springbok centre De Wet Barry was cleared of a deliberate late charge on an opponent by the same RFU Disciplinary hearing on Monday.
Dallaglio, the London Wasps captain, had been cited for a breach of Law 10.4(a) in the EDF Energy Cup semifinal against Leicester Tigers on Saturday, March 22.
Dallaglio pleaded guilty and the RFU confirmed the suspension imposed by his club - from March 25 to 31. He missed Wasps' 24-19 Guinness Premiership win over Leicester Tigers at Welford Road at the weekend.
He is free to play from Tuesday, April 1.
The case was heard by a panel chaired by Judge Jeff Blackett.
At the same hearing Barry was cleared of a deliberate late charge on an opponent.
The Harlequins and Bok centre was sent off during the Guinness Premiership match against Newcastle Falcons at the weekend. Quins won.
The panel, also chaired by Blackett, found Barry not guilty and he is free to play on.
