No excuses for Toulouse

The four-time European champions were made to pay for a sluggish start at Allianz Park as Saracens romped to a 27-0 half-time lead. But they scored a mini victory in the second half, winning the 7-5, and starving Saracens of a four-try bonus point.

Dusautoir reckons they will be wiser for their disappointing evening in North London.

"At half-time we knew the game was gone but the purpose of the second half was to keep Saracens out. The first half was a big disappointment for us but we are going to learn a lot from this defeat," he said.

Toulouse have the chance to re-ignite their European campaign at home to Top14 rivals Oyonnax in their next match, while Saracens travel to Belfast to take on Ulster. Friday's horrifying events in Paris has seen five European fixtures postponed this weekend but Dusautoir had no excuses for his side's lacklustre performance.

"It would not be nice for me to find excuses in what happened in Paris. Our country is going through a bad moment but we lost because Saracens were better than us. It's true that a lot of people were talking about the shocking events but we were just playing sport," he added.
