However locks Nico Janse van Rensburg and Konstantine Mikautadze, who both suffered ankle injuries against La Rochelle, trained on Monday and are fit to face Glasgow.

Two more South Africans, hooker Bismarck Du Plessis and lock Jacques Du Plessis could also return for Montpellier.

Both teams lost their opening two Pool 3 games and know that a victory is crucial to their chances of qualifying for the quarter-finals.

Although they lost their first two European games, they did at least pick up three bonus points, whereas Glasgow have nothing to show for their efforts following defeats to three-time winners Leinster and English champions Exeter, who clash on Sunday.
