Wasps count walking wounded

Thu, 04 Sep 2008 11:41

London Wasps will open the 2008/09 Guinness Premiership season against London Irish at Twickenham on Saturday, though will have to start their season without some key players due to injury.

First on the injured list is Dave Walder. The Wasps' flyhalf has returned to full training after suffering a fracture dislocation to his ankle in Wasps' Premiership clash with Worcester Warriors at Adams Park in April.

Having completed his rehab programme he is now set to make his return against Harlequins in Wasps first A League fixture at Henley on Monday.

New French signing Serge Betsen is recovering well after suffering a grade 2 medial collateral ligament tear to his knee in Wasps pre-season friendly against Dax.

Making good progress with his recovery he is expected to return to full training on Friday and is also likely to feature in Wasps A side who face Harlequins on Monday.

After picking up a mild strain to his calf in Wasps pre-season friendly against Llanelli Scarlets last Friday, Mark Robinson has this week undergone a scan and will remain rested for the next couple of weeks.

England star Danny Cipriani is continuing well with his rehab schedule following the fracture dislocation of his ankle in Wasps semifinal clash with Bath back in May.

Cipriani has made good progress and is now running as part of his rehab programme.

He obviously knows the Bible well
He is just deflecting attention away from his lack of coaching knowledge
He should leaves his sermons for the dressing room
