Horsman handed four-week ban

Worcester Warriors prop forward Chris Horsman has been handed a four -week ban by a Rugby Football Union panel for stamping on Harlequins’ player Mike Ross in their Guinness Premiership match last week.

The 31 year-old was originally charges with kicking the player but it had been amended ahead of his hearing on Thursday morning.

The suspension has already taken affect and will run up until November 2. During that time the Welsh international will miss four matches for his club, including two of their European Challenge Cup match-ups with Petrarca and Bucuresti.

Horsman has also been punished internally by his own club for the incident. Having been handed a two-week internal suspension as well as a £2,000 fine.
