Gloucester and England wing Lesley Vainikolo says he still has plenty to learn about Rugby Union
The powerful Vainikolo only made the switch from Rugby League to Union in June 2007 but then made his full international debut just six months later in January of 2008.
Speaking too BCC Radio Gloucestershire the Gloucester man reflected on his meteoric rise and on what he knows now he still has to learn.
"It was a bit too fast, with everything happening quickly in the first year.
"I just needed to calm down a bit and concentrate on what I do. I still need to learn a bit more."
He continued: "You only learn from your team mates and your coaching staff,
"You need to play with good players and you learn from them as well.
"You want to build your confidence in winning games and you want to get in a good form, which we [Gloucester] are aiming for," he concluded.
Can he make an England comeback? Gloucester fans tell us what you think of Vainikolo?
