GP Predictions: Nov 21/22/23

Thu, 20 Nov 2008 15:19

The Guinness Premiership roadshow conintues this weekend with a bunch of exciting clashes set to keen us all very well entertained.

Pretty sure Pete Murison had a 100 per cent record the wrong way last weekend with his predictions so the job is certainly on the line this week.

It is not an easy task to pick a winner in some of the GP clashes but somebody has got to do it.

Friday’s fixtures both pose opportunities for some of the struggling teams to get back on track while Saturday’s two matches sees three of the top four teams all in action.

Sunday poses the now weekly question – will Wasps poor run continue or can the Geech get them back on track.

Friday:

Gloucester v Bristol
rugby365 Prediction:
I'm putting this one as my banker. Bristol deserved their first win of the season last week at home to the Saints but Gloucester have a strong team out and, with firepower on the bench, should be comfortable winners. Gloucester by more than 10.

Worcester v Falcons
rugby365 Prediction:
The home side scored a massive win over Sale last weekend and will be expecting to carry that on. I am one of the few who continue to push the Falcon's case but captain Dowson is right - they need to pick something up and soon. They have been particularly poor on the road though so the smart pick has got to be the home side. Probably not by much, but by about seven.

Saturday

Leicester v Harlequins
rugby365 Prediction:
Toughest one for me to call this weekend I think. Leicester at home is usually a safe bet but Quins are a form side in the GP and will be keen to keep the pressure on Bath. That said, I am going to give the edge to the home side. After last weekend's disappointment coach Heyneke Meyer will want to see them bounce back. Tigers by less that 10.

Northampton v Bath
rugby365 Prediction:
Bath are flying high at the moment and, while the Saints are no easy opposition at home, I expect the log leaders will keep their good run going this weeked. Bath by 12 or more.

Sunday

London Irish v Saracens
rugby365 Prediction:

Wasps v Sale
