Saracens staff secure new deals

Tue, 02 Feb 2010 15:12

Guinness Premiership club Saracens have extended the contracts of the club’s entire senior coaching staff - rewarding Brendan Venter and his team for a successful first half of the season.

Speaking about the new contracts, Director of Rugby Venter said: "We are working hard to develop a culture of success at Saracens, and continuity and stability are absolutely critical.

"So it is magnificent news for everybody that our outstanding young coaching staff have confirmed their commitment to the club."

Alex Sanderson and Paul Gustard, two outstanding young coaches in English rugby, have both signed two-year contract extensions, and kicking coach Dan Vickers has also agreed a new two-year contract. Mark McCall, first team coach, and Andy Farrell, backline coach, remain on long-term contracts.

Venter added: "The energy and enthusiasm of this coaching group is fantastic, and I'm delighted we will be staying together for the foreseeable future."
