'Destructive' Bell staying with Bath

Bath Rugby have confirmed that veteran prop Duncan Bell has renewed his contract for another two years.
The powerful prop joined Bath Rugby in the 2003/04 season and since then has made just shy of 160 appearances in the blue, black and white.
The 35-year-old has become one of the most consistent props in the league and has aided the progression of some of the younger players with his advice and mentoring.
"I am very passionate about Bath Rugby club and I always have been," admitted Bell. "Bath was a team that I always wanted to play for and I have been here seven years now so I am absolutely over the moon to be staying."
Coming off the back of a strong win against Sale Sharks on Saturday, the tight-head felt that the club was moving in the right direction and the win at the weekend was testament to that.
"It hasn't been our greatest season so far, but we have got the processes in place to build, achieve our goals and get to the top.
"I want to be here for as long as I can. I want to win things and be part of something special. I know that things are pointing in the right direction with the coaching staff and off the field to achieve that."
Head Coach Steve Meehan believes that Bell adds a wealth of experience to the team and feels that his continued commitment to the club is demonstrative of the direction the club is going in.
"Duncan had a very good 2009 playing many matches for Bath and winning an England recall. He is a strong and destructive scrummager and has a very good feel for the ball.
"We are all pleased that a player with his experience and skills will be remaining with the club as we all work hard to get back to being one of the most successful and exciting teams in the league."
