Samoa won the Men's tournament and Australia the Women's in the Oceania Sevens played in Apia, Samoa on Friday and Saturday. Four teams have qualified for the Sevens World Cups to played in Dubai in March 2009.
Samoa and Tonga are the Men's qualifiers, Australia and New Zealand the Women's.
Those from the region qualified on past performances were Fiji, New Zealand and Australia in the Men's section.
The final of the Oceania Sevens was as one-sided as a Sevens match can ever be for Samoa, one of the World's top sides at Sevens, smashed Tonga 52-0.
Australia's Women were something of a surprise as the Black Ferns have dominated Women's rugby in 15-a-side. It took a late try by Nicole Beck to win the Final 22-15 for Australia.
